The chicken coop actually is the coop itself and the attached run. Mary really wanted to get chickens
and my estimates were we could make a bunch just selling eggs. Boy was I wrong. When we fed certified
organic and had any broken eggs we couldn't even pay for the food.
But, I digress. We intended to have under 48 birds which meant (12) nest boxes, 48 ft of roost and 480 ft
of area, including the run. We ended up with 240+48=288 ft which means we can only accomodate about 28 when
they are enclosed in the run. Nick and I bend the hoops by constructing a jig using information I got off
the web on metal spring back. Everything else was pretty much wood and wire.
